SALES ?......A BIG QUESTION!!!!!!!!

Guys just to clarify ,I am not a sales expert infact i dont like having a career in sales that much .

This post is for you if:

  • You are inspiring to get a career in sales .
  • You dont know where to go and hesitent to get in sales direction.
  • You got a sales career option in hand and dont know to take it or not .
  • Stuck with sales job and getting discouraged and depressed because of it .
Now as i said earlier i am no expert in this department ,this is my take on how to go about such a robust career option ,rest is upto you to concider it or not .

Lets ask overselves these questions :

  1. who is the highest earner in most of the organizations?
  2. who gets a lot of attention in any organization?
  3. who has a very fast growing path?
  4. who decides the fate of any organizations growth?
  5. who will have a direct opportunity to know the potential of market ?
  6. who will learn what a customer wants and how his/her consumer behaviour is?
  7. who will develop communication skills faster and become a tough person to crack ?
  8. and most off all who is the face of any organization?
Now the answer for all of these is  a SALES GUY.

Even after knowing all these advantages ,most of the MBAs don't like to work as a sales guy . This is because of two rediculous reasons that I ever hear .

  1. They think working in a sales job is very difficult to survive.
  2. Most of them feel it's not COOL to work in a sales job after their MBA.
You might disagree with me but question yourself , and you would get atleast one of the 2 reason that cross by your mind.
1st reason is because of the lack of awareness . I agree that sales job is tough but which job is not . Now a days every job has its own challenges and you would be pushed a little bit further by organisations after all you are the pillers they build on right ,but as a guy who worked in a sales job for almost a year with out liking it . It's not that tough guys ,all is just more exaggerated.
2nd reason is prity rediculous, they are the words spoken by a lay man who don't even know what a sales executive after MBA does .Want more references please read the above questions again and you will understand that a sales guy is a KHAN  of corporate world.
If your reason is like I can't talk to people , I can't work in team , I am prity bad meeting dead lines , I want to expanded my skill set further etc .. then your hatered towards the job is justified .But if your at initial stages of your career and not opting for sales for any of the two about reasons.
Then please reconsider your decision and go for it . It's an advice as a friend and take it if you like it .

A good advice should always make a great impact ...

CAREER AFTER MBA???????

This is a doubt that concerns pretty much every student who is about to finish or have finished MBA in a not so premier institute and in search for a job .So don't worry you are not alone.       But let us be frank about it .After a deep insight of 1 year into my corporate world experience after my MBA from IBS Bangalore (which is a decent B-School by the way) I know the reality of what happens out here and what are the opportunities we hold . Let me answer you some Direct questions:  Do we have ample, i mean sufficient opportunities ? NO , its always survival of the fittest race on a daily bases. Are we treated different because we are MBA grads? NO , may be initially but it always come to your performance on daily bases again. Can we get the RIGHT JOB at our first shot? NO , mostly not because the expectations of a MBA student who doesn't know the world of work out there would be at sky high and can never be the same as what we will do in o...

HOW TO FIND WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL THAT YOU NEED IS TO SEE THE INTENTIONS OF THE WRITER AND INTENSITY OF THE WRITING WHEN YOU PICK. I am seeing a lot of things these days around me which I use to hate thinking of but sort of make lot of sense now. There is clarity in my mission towards my vision. Everyone around me told me that if I am in the field which I am good at, I will be successful. But no one till this time gave a clarity of how to find out what I am good at. Don’t ever think I never asked anyone, because I did, directly to most of them. But you know what’s the answer I get “you should find out yourself .“   I said OK let’s find out, started trying out different things failed, fallen several times stud up again and kept moving. But I realized the path I took led me nowhere because most of my friends are being successful, even the once who lost hope on their lives moved ahead of me by time, and to my surprise I still don’t know what I was doing. One day around all this mess, I ...
